All five BMW E36 M3 LWT models owned by Paul Walker were sold at auction. The family of the deceased actor put their entire car collection up for auction in 2013. Five units of the BMW E36 LWT were sold at an auction in Scottsdale, organized by the barett-Jackson house.

The most expensive copy, which went only 7,402 kilometers, was sold for $ 350,000. Another, with 68,419 kilometers on Board, reached $ 235,000. The next one (22,986 kilometers) was sold for $ 220,000. The last two, which traveled 24,920 miles, 55,361 km respectively, were sold for $ 200,000 each.
The exact number of such cars built by BMW is unknown, but it seems that between 120 and 126 units of the E36 M3 Lightweight were produced at the factory. All of them received the exterior paint of Alpine White III and graphics with a chess pattern in a red-and-white combination. But one of the five being auctioned is completely white.

Under the hood of the M3 LWT is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 305 Nm of torque to the rear axle via a five-speed manual transmission.
