China has reached the European car market very quickly and wants to displace Mercedes-Benz and BMW right now. Asians unveiled their new SUV, the Changan Uni-T.

The Changan Uni-T comes with narrow led headlights that surround a large grille. With this model, the Chinese strive to win young customers. Their first car built for the European market, the Uni-T, is 4.515 millimetres long, 1.870 millimetres wide and has a wheelbase of 2710 millimetres. Proportions recommend it more as a rival to the Nissan Qashqai in the European market, but the Chinese promise luxury amenities that will make it compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe (4.732 mm) and BMW X4 (2.752 mm).
The car will make its debut in April at the Beijnig motor show, and will be introduced to the European market in March at the Geneva motor show. Customers will be able to choose from two available engines: 1.5 liter turbo and 2.0 liter turbo. Regardless of the configuration and line of equipment, the Uni-T will only be available with front-wheel drive, as with most small-class models.
